Carbon and Molybdenum explains its rigidity and high wear resistance, Chromium and Nickel increases mechanical strength and edge retention, and Manganese helps increase hardness, reduce structural wear, and makes for easy sharpening. Put that all together, add our heat-treatment and nitrogen cooling process to ensure durability, sharpness, and abrasion resistance, and you have yourself a new culinary life companion.
Adorned with a mosaic pin made of brass and copper, the mirror-polish pakkawood handles have a traditional Japanese D-Shape that tucks right into the palm for unrivaled comfort and control for both righties and lefties. Pakkawood is exceptionally dense, possess incredible strength, won't crack or split, and has high water-resistant capabilities with easy maintenance. This is why its often used in both military and kitchen environments.

Spectre Series Professional 4" Paring Knife

The paring knife picks up where a chef’s knife leaves off, as a great tool for slicing and mincing items that are too small for large blades, such as garlic or shallots.
Blade Features
Hand sharpened to a perfect 14-degree angle per side for clean, precise cuts and amazing edge-retention, the vacuum heat treated and nitrogen-cooled blades are crafted from high carbon Japanese AUS-8 stainless steel for enhanced corrosion resistance. They have a Rockwell Hardness (HRC) of 58, providing maximum strength, flexibility, & blade edge durability. AUS-8 steel also incorporates vanadium, which further improves the blade’s durability and edge retention.
Handle Features
Spectre Series handles have a contoured bolster which provides a comfortable pinch grip for enhanced knife control, and a stainless-steel laser etched end cap counterbalance. Pakkawood is used for both military and kitchen applications due to its incredible strength and exceptional density. It is nearly impervious to heat, cold, and moisture. The handle has full tang strength, which means the blade extends all the way through the entire handle, for lifelong durability and safety. Its seamless build ensures that no dirt or food debris can ever infiltrate its body, keeping the handle safe and hygienic in busy kitchens.
